Guidelines

Describe the bug
Maxmix will sometimes disconnect randomly and stay disconnected until unplugged and re-plugged in via USB. Also after re-plugging it sometimes will continue to disconnect until unplugged for an extended period of time. This sometimes happens after connecting a new audio device such as a Bluetooth headset.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
(It's hard to reproduce and it's random but this method below sometimes works.)

  1. Turn on computer (Maxmix software starts on boot)
  2. Turn on Bluetooth Headset
  3. Wait until Maxmix disconnects
  4. Try to wake up device, shows LEDs and Maxmix logo and then doesn't connect
  5. Unplug device for 5-10 minutes re-plug and may work or disconnect again after a short period of time.

Expected behavior
Device to remain detected and sleep after a certain amount of time.

System information:

  • OS version: Windows 10 x64 20H2
  • Firmware version: 1.4.7

Additional context
I believe this may have to do with the SleepAfterSeconds setting has my device doesn't sleep after 40 seconds it just stays on all the time. Would be great if there is a place where we can look for a log of errors from the desktop software to see if it's a software issue or firmware.

Do you have any idea how how long I need to wait before It happens?
I can test a bit with a bluetooth speaker, and a wireless headset.

It usually happens when I have the Maxmix plugged in when booting up and have my bluetooth headphones turned off and then turn on the bluetooth once logged in and after the Maxmix software starts I believe. I also bought the Arduino from the link on the main website which was said to have some issues at one point of people getting DOA boards not sure if this might be an actual issue with the board and not the software. Or there is a conflict somewhere. Like I said before would be awesome to get some logs on the desktop app to be able to package.
