On dark content, new autodetection may overcrop content.

Switch to Dune footage has a chance to trigger overcropping:

Another example here around 18 minute mark (not consistent)

Yeah, that issue is currently being considered with the lowest priority, given other more pressing issues.

I've seen it, I've considered it. It makes some assumptions that are relatively incorrect, but has at least one idea that would have probably been implemented if my traditional "two weeks off" around New Year were a bit longer than two weeks, and then inadvertantly come to regret them 3 years down the line.
