See SciML/DifferentialEquations.jl#997 for a related discussion.

I think it will be very nice if we provide MTK components for the models to simplify the setup and coupling. However, we might need to hook into the simplification algorithm (e.g. structural simplify) to keep some stuff separate (or to give annotations) for information needed by solvers.
