Double clicking a message into full screen should mark it as read

I'm hindered by the current way a message gets marked as "read". Some messages are short, and can be read pretty quickly, but it stays as unread because I did not hover on it long enough.

Describe the solution you'd like
If I double click the message and it goes into full screen, that should mark it as read immediately. How it works for me is, if I have finished reading the message, my righ hand double clicks it (without having to move my mouse around) and left hand presses escape to close the full screen, this can be completed in milliseconds.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I could go into the menus mark read etc, but moving the mouse precisely to do this is expensive in time and effort. I'm open to any other cheap actions that can quickly (<1s) mark a message as read.
