Desktop App not finding my Keyboard #267
Comments
Hi! |
I have the same issue here. Keyboard is a cidoo v87 on windows. I thought this was because I'm using a thunderbolt dock, but using a USB port on the motherboard also failed. |
This is an issue related to EPOMAKER being such an amazing company. @joejoe87577 |
Same here |
Is it possible to fix it ? |
no issues. short cable plug directly to the motherboard. no hub, no extension... open, load .json. go to test kyb. then close. re-install v.2.1 and when open it will work. |
Windows 11 and also cannot find my keyboard with the electron app. chrome and edge work fine on the web app. |
Ok I figured it out!! I randomly found this Issue in another repo that keyed me into an idea to try: the-via/app#202 SOLUTION: Evidently there must be a bug when VIA is set to 2D mode. If you change it to 3D then you will be able to recognize and authorize your keyboard! 🎉 cc @LukasKarer @kartarion @joejoe87577 @docop @Chris-techz @siun202 @xivlover |
@GitMurf , thank's dude it works ! |
Does anyone know an active dev/maintainer we could ping on this? |
Hello, when I use the web app everything workes fine and as expected, but when I try to use the desktop app, using version 3.0.0 it just tells me searching for device:
Does anyone of you have an idea why this is happening, I tried reinstalling or using an older version, but nothing worked so far.
