How to read the 'theme' section?

Every component page seems to have a section on the bottom with theming. Problem is there's no explanation how to interpret the syntax and apply the theming. The link to the 'explanation' page (https://flowbite-react.com/docs/customize/theme) is rather useless in that regard. Searching the internets far and wide has yielded me no result.

Where's some reference to all the keys used in that above json ? I.e. what is 'root', what is 'collapse' etc etc.
