Whitelist is case sensitive

Ran into an issue where one of the emails on the whitelist was not getting access. Turned out that it (the gmail address, not my config) had a capital letter in it. In most other contexts emails addresses are treated as case-insensitive so this has never come up until now

The whitelist should become case-insensitive, or its documentation updated to note this limitation.
