Not sure what more to describe, is the author still active?

As you will see at the very beginning of the README.md:

NOTE: The old Instagram API is now deprecated; this package will now focus on the Instagram Graph API.

You are more than welcome to send a pull request, if you want to use this library. Note, however, that the original library was for Instagram's old API, which has been shut down since 2018: https://www.instagram.com/developer/

The new Instagram Graph API, however, provides almost no functionality useful to a third-party: https://developers.facebook.com/products/instagram

For example, there is no API to post content (instead, you have to launch the IG app), creating comments, etc., and the existing API's are only able to business/influencer accounts. Beyond that, API access for content publishing is only able to specific partners, and is not open for applications.

So, as you can see, there is little to no reason to continue to develop this library (or use the Instagram API at all). Even something as simple as "Sign in with Instagram" is a thing of the now-distant past.

So, to answer your question, yes, I am very much still active, but I am working on other projects now.

Thanks for the quick reply, I was slightly misled by the statement "this package will now focus on the Instagram Graph API" and was thinking it would be a perfect replacement to the old APIs, thanks though!
