Would be nice to be able to specify the directory to create project into so that one doesn't have to use the project name as the top-level directory name.

I agree with this, my actual problem was that I want to make a folder named after the git repo but the name of the project would be different. For example, if we are making a project for android and iOS we will name the repos project-ios project-android but we want to name the iOS project file just project, since it's silly to call the iOS project project-ios, but we need unique repo names.

The CLI command now optionally takes a path to use as destination for
the project. If now path is given by the user, the default of the
project name is used.
