I did this in our blog by pulling from /etc/passwd: https://github.com/thoughtbot/robots.thoughtbot.com/pull/153

Might not make sense in this project, so close this if it's crazy.

This would be awesome as a default value if you haven't set it explicitly somewhere else.
