Fine-tuning with German data

Hello dear colleagues,
do you think I could use this repo to do the fine-tuning just replacing the alpaca-cleaned dataset with my own German dataset but keeping the original Llama model? Or should I better take the model that was originally trained on German and then fine-tune it with more data?
