node number is equal to QDMR sequence length?

in this note , point 2 and 3 i have some confusion

if node num>5 was skip, the cost of this example will be set to what? 0 or 1 or None?

I see if time> 10 minute, cost will be set to None, that means if example's cost is 0?

and what is the percentage of two situation above?
