svg output is not working

When I try
./pesconvert test.pes test.svg
the resulting .svg file is not a valid svg file. What am I doing wrong? Can this program output to svg format, if yes, how?

Updated inkscape to latest version 0.92.4 (before I hade 0.91), modified main.c, and now Inkscape can load this .svg. At least inkscape can see this exported file, thanks. This issue can be closed.
