The company has been engaged in custom and small-batch production of metal products for 19 years.
The main task was the careful transfer of processes to Totum. Without a decline in capabilities and breaking the usual patterns of employee work.
The company had a whole system of dozens of spreadsheets, but it was already bursting at the seams.
Through CSV, it was possible to import 20k orders in several stages and merge the data into a single table of cycles. The cycles themselves turned out to be huge, with about 120 fields inside. Nevertheless, opening a card, including loading the detail image, takes one-third of a second. It became convenient to upload files to work orders: drawings and programs for CNC machines, which tables did not allow.
Added document scrolling buttons with parameters for convenient navigation.
Imported a list of materials and configured the structure.
Implemented the main blocks:
Additionally, configured search by drawings and a mechanism for copying work order data for repeat orders through the search card button.
Added monitoring of work order operation execution with status bars from the cycle table.
Utilized the functionality of custom documentation.
One of the architectural features is that operations can be recorded not only in the work order card but also from anywhere. The system tracks who did what, when, and how much, and calculates piecework pay. All this is recorded in a separate table for production operation execution, from which summary indicators can be easily obtained. Journal entries for the work order are also displayed in a separate tab in the cycle card.
Practice has shown that it is possible to switch from spreadsheets and achieve comprehensive accounting with low implementation costs. For users, this means total automation of routine tasks with inevitable reduction of errors and unnecessary actions.
Thanks to the Totum team for the excellent tool!
