We could have multiple "levels" for each species:

  1. Choice of 4 random species.
  2. Choice of 4 "similar" species (based on habitat, or previous confusions, or both).
  3. Open question with keyboard entry and autocomplete.

If we do #66 it could be like this:

  1. Choice of 4, with photo + text.
  2. Choice of 4, text only.
  3. Open question with keyboard entry and autocomplete.
