Some users have reported that sometimes the notifications will just not appear anymore.

+1 Android10

Could you let users set interval of check new emails? What is the default interval now?

I think Android might just decide to not launch Tutanota anymore if it's not opened for some time, same for other apps.
Unless we get some log with an error I don't know what we can do.

It's checking every 15 min, the minimum allowed interval but it tries to keep running to receive them immideately.

On my Redmi Note 4 (Miui 11 - Android 7.0) I don't get any notifications of new emails (but I get notifications if the app is open).
Note: Battery optimization is disabled for the app.
App Version: v3.78.2

5.1 does not support EC certificates. We will remove support for Android 5 soon.

5.1 does not support EC certificates. We will remove support for Android 5 soon.

Then in the future it is worth removing the background process (so that it does not waste phone memory) since notifications for 5.1 will not work.

it's a pity that because of the certificate there will be no notifications (I missed this feature)

If it is still a problem, we should consider Unified Push as a possible solution.

If it is still a problem, we should consider Unified Push as a possible solution.

I think you guys should pull the trigger and start supporting UnifiedPush among its growing support since you can now even have Signal through Molly with UnifiedPush, finally without battery drain 24/7. And there's no single email provider supporting it yet so you can show em how it's done and actually "invent" something in rather boring email market. Your SSE "one size fits all" solution is somewhat brilliant but Tuta app still throws battery alerts for every googel-free device I used

Edit: @vitoreiji couple of years passed, any chances you can reopen it and consider UnifiedPush for 2024?

Adding my vote to Unified Push. Please implement this. There is a growing support for it:
