Current Behavior

The navigation bar on shows currently displays the record name. Occasionally, incorrect object icons are displayed, as observed on People shows.

Desired Behavior

We aim to revamp the navigation bar on Shows to:

  • Enable navigation to the Previous or Next record within an Index View.
  • Indicate the index view from which the show was accessed.
  • Provide an option to return to the corresponding index view. (Close icon, see Transform the Show Back button into a Close button #4454)
  • Display the total number of records within a view.

When a show page is accessed from a favorite or non-specific view, the "default index" name should be used as the view title (key=index), for example, All Companies, and the previous/next should navigate within this default index.

The icon displayed before the 1 of 12 would be the view icon
