We would like to have MET and METplus installed on our Parallel Works (PW) NOAA Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
We would also like to be able to run MET/METplus inside a containerized SRW APP both with intel and gnu configurations.
Solution
The solution would be to install MET and METplus specs via spack-stack on the NOAA Cloud platforms and in the Docker files used to build the containerized SRW App.
Requirements**
We need to make sure we are using the appropriate spack-stack with the most up-to-date modules, miniconda3, and cmake.
Acceptance Criteria (Definition of Done)
To verify the MET/METplus installations, we should be able to run the MET_verification and MET_ensemble_verification E2E tests on each platform and container.
Dependencies (optional)
Alternative Solutions (optional)
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
Both MET VX and MET Ensemble VX ran successfully in an intel container.
MET VX result: https://jenkins-epic.woc.noaa.gov/job/ufs-srweather-app/job/srw-e2e-Cheyenne/241/s3/
MET Ensemble VX result: this path on Cheyenne: /glade/scratch/mpotts/sandbox/new_dirs
Currently, we don't have a GNU container but once we do, we will test E2E tests, including the MET VX tasks. Closing.
