Do not understand targets: selector

In case of full playbook I have

targets:
  lxd:
    groups: ["lxd"]

I just run spot and have unexpected result:

spot v1.6.3-004d58f-2023-05-29T05:28:37Z
failed, can't run task "all" for target "default": 1 error(s) occurred:
   [0] failed to dial: dial tcp: lookup default on 1.1.1.1:53: no such host

spot -t lxd works as expected. So what is wrong with target: block?

I get it, I should use

targets:
  default:
    groups: ["lxd"]
