types-pkg-resources not available

I am trying to set up a dev env but when installing the dependencies from requirements-dev.txt I hit the error ERROR: No matching distribution found for types-pkg_resources. It seems like that package was yanked from pypi? It seems other people have faced the same error in other contexts.

Which requirements file are you trying to install? requirements-docs.txt is outdated and should be removed.

The dev directory has Python version-specific requirements files

Ah, good catch! With your comment I realized I was installing using an older version of the codebase, syncing the fork and directing to the ones in dev worked. Thanks for the help!
