Why is there a restriction of machines for a paid edition?

Hi,

I find the limit of 2 machines for a paid edition too restrictive. I would like to use it on my office machines and at home, on different OSes. How do I do it? I guess it's to prevent license sharing but there might be other ways to stop the abuse.
