Arquero with Apache-Arrow in a vite project

I am trying to build a custom package with Apache-arrow and Arquero embedded using Vite. But no matter what I tried so far, i still get the dreaded "Apache Arrow is missing ..." message.

Here is what I put in my latest vite.config.js :

Any lead ?

Some ideas:

When I vendor arquero inside my project, and reference it in package.json as "arquero": "link:vendor/arquero" , then

• if I do: npm install , then rm -r node_modules/arquero , my build embeds apache arrows.
• if i do a npm install inside vendor/arquero before doing the npm install in my main project
• if if do a npm install inside vendor/arquero but rm -r node_modules/arquero, my build doesn't embedd apache arrow.

My current solution is using arquero from npm package instead of a vendored version, then :

• do a global npm install
• go to node_modules/arquero and do a npm install inside it
• build my project
