Describe the request

There should be a link to valkey-io/valkey contributing document to the website front page.

Can I also add:

  • Schedule of weekly meetings and how potential contributors can join them (i.e., I see meeting notes https://github.com/orgs/valkey-io/discussions/535 in the Discussions but no idea how to join these)
  • Links to a Discord, Slack or whatever other communication method the team uses that isn't github

I'd love to help out with the docs but I have no idea how to get involved 😅

@celestehorgan Would you posting these as seperate issues? Both are great ideas I'd ❤️ to track but probably not related contributing doc on this request, so they could easily get lost.

re: helping with the docs - I would love that. There is definitely a chicken/egg problem here: I few folks are currently working on getting everything stabilized; then we can write a good, current contributing doc. But that takes time because we don't have enough hands to get everything stabilized.

@celestehorgan Right now they're by invite only. We have 6 maintainers in different time zones, and we trying to keep the audience down so that we can be respectful of everyone's time. But we don't want it to be a gatekeeping thing, so curious if there is some specific reason you are interested in attending.
