Call a DHCP server API to provision Mac/IP of a DHCP client VM #351

  1. Fill the VM create page with the MAC (or automac) and the needed IP
  2. If IP added on a interface, xo-server will call it's configured DHCP server to put the lease in it
  3. The VM is provisionned, next boot it will take the given IP

Minimal configuration for a DHCP:

  • create/delete/list all IP ranges
  • create/remove a record in a range
  • bind a range to an interface

Another approach would be to embed a DNS/DHCP server directly in XO. See:
