If I got you right, someone asked for that feature several days ago and its already implemented (for select filter) #14

sorry I meant to load on a certain page, or with a preset search query

Calling the yadcf.exFilterColumn(oTable, your_column_number, "Some value"); right after the call of the
.dataTable( {....
will display the table filtered (no won't notice any delay at all)

Whenever you want to show the table with some filter already is use just call the yadcf.exFilterColumn function.

Otherwise please explain your current scenario more clearly.
