Add option to just "display" the sample rate (& not change it) i.e. view-only mode?

Is it possible to have an option in the app that sets the app to work in "view-only" mode? So for the folks who just want to observe the sample rate of the current Apple Music audio being played, but do not necessarily want the app to change the setting in the Audio/Midi Setup menu?

(I know you can view it from the apple music app but this is way more convenient.)
