I'd love to be able to start/stop playback using a button or the space bar, currently having to reload the page or close out a tab when I want to stop.

+1 to this. would love an easy way to stop this when I need to take a call or step away from my machine.
crazy extensions would include working with the touchbar on the Macbook Pro (like youtube.com does) or bluetooth controls on my phone .... but a button to tap to pause/play would be enough
