The message indicates that the prepackaged/built-in with the app web client is outdated (see #80 and #79 for details), ie protonmail requires newer web client version to be used. It's expected to happen since the app uses a prepackaged/static web client if the offline / prepackaged domain endpoint is choosen.

The ways you can tackle the issue:

• Let me know if you observe such message I will prepare new version then with updated built-in web client. Preferably just leave a message in this issue.
• As a workaround, you can try switching to the https://beta.protonmail.com (deprecated) (online / live) domain endpoint.
  
  But there are caveats:
  • There is no guarantee that online / live web client will properly work with the app as the app is tightly integrated with the web client code using monkey patching techniques.
  • It's an online web client which might potentially be deployed with the unknown code, ie not necessarily with the code taken from the official repository. You need to understand that before switching to the online / live web client.
  • It's a beta web client.
• I can consider adding an option that will allow advanced users to use the web clients that they prepared on their own. It can potentially look like this: you build the web client from sources, customize it if needed and then simply put it to the specific folder.
