wagmi v2 - createConfig type error

hey, i am trying to migrate to new v2 version of wagmi,

but right at the beginning i am getting a type error on createConfig function.
my setup is as simple as it gets

import { http, createConfig } from 'wagmi';
import { mainnet, sepolia } from 'wagmi/chains';
import { injected } from 'wagmi/connectors';

export const config = createConfig({
  chains: [mainnet, sepolia],
  connectors: [injected()],
  ssr: true,
  transports: {
    [mainnet.id]: http(),
    [sepolia.id]: http(),
  },
});

calling the createConfig function with any parameter triggers the Expected 0 arguments, but got 1.ts(2554) error

i have tried different package versions of wagmi, and typescript, viem ... but no luck.
currently i am using

"@tanstack/react-query": "^5.17.19",
"viem": "2.x",
"wagmi": "2.5.4",
"typescript": "5.3.3"

any idea how to fix this ?

update:

my issue was with vscode's typescript version source 🤦
vscode was using global typescript version which did not meet wagmi requirements.
