Bug description
When you destroy a previously created sub-window, the parent window malfunctions.
The buttons in the top bar all don't work and when using the compact top bar, it won't go away.

To Reproduce

  1. Create a sub-window
  2. Destroy the window
  3. Try doing something in the main window

Expected behavior
The parent window still works as it did before
