The "path-spaghetti" was published - congratulations! But only 1/4 of a huge job scientific society needed, I see. I/m afraid we could sink in the sea of details losing the main stream of carcinogenesis and further malignisation processes. I would like to stress that lots of tumours develop via The Growth factors-RTKs pushing the so-called "Bermuda triangle" consisting ras-mTor-myc. All of them were described in this drawing but it took me two minutes to find where they are located. It's OK to color some frequently mutated genes but why was the role of so -called imperator of oncogenes myc ignored? Ref. Riquelme E, Suraokar MB, Rodriguez J, Mino B, Lin HY, Rice DC, Tsao A, Wistuba II. Frequent amplification and cooperation between C-MYC and PVT1 oncogenes promote malignant pleural mesothelioma. For me the most interesting is the loss of the 22-nd chromosome and the main metalloproteinases inhibitor TIMP3. I was glad to notice some MMP at the right-down corner but it's only the beginning. Despite these remarks and raised questions the international team has done an impressive job. So, good luck continuing cancer hunting. We need artificial intelligence based computer programs to make drawings of such a style based on an ocean of scientific articles and clinical research results.
