Failing Wi-Fi connection (CW01) XK90 kit?

I flashed the ground station (CW01) with XinaBox Uploader v1.1.0c using the 'XK07 V1408' flash as described in "code ground station" PDF. During the provisioning step, GS creates a hotspot to login for provisioning on the IP 192.168.4.1. I submit the correct provisioning information (using XK07 as the 'series' value, although default is 'smallsat'). I have my radio channel set to 200, am using the RL03. The provisioning interface doesn't show the selection for radio type as presented in the "Configure Ground Station" PDF.

When I go to restart the grounstation, the change to reconfigure is ready again for 30 seconds, but then instead of connecting to WiFi, goes to a screen with
LOCAL RSSI: UNKNOWN
SAT RSSI: UNKNOWN

Flight station seems to work fine, data collection from the instruments have been recorded a few minutes after powering up.

Any ideas what is causing this? The 'XK07' flash seems to allow connection to WiFi, but still does not make link to the flight station.
