HEIF (High Efficiency Image File Format) support

Hi!

I am wondering if HEIF/HEIC support is on the roadmap? Given one significant vendor pushing it with the intent completely replacing JPEG, it seems that HEIF/HEIC might be one of future formats.

As far as I understand any new format would have to provided wilt other lib than Imlib2 (since it looks that there is no new development there)?

imlib2 seems to be maintained still, at least there have been some releases: https://sourceforge.net/projects/enlightenment/files/imlib2-src/
I opened an issue at their bug tracker asking for HEIF support: https://phab.enlightenment.org/T8877
Meanwhile there's a basic loader that can be used: https://github.com/vi/imlib2-heic
