When renaming a tab or pane, it would be nice to have a key to cancel the rename mode and revert back to the previous tab/pane name. For example, if my tab is currently "A cool tab name" and I enter rename mode, I would like to press Escape (or some other key) to revert the name to "A cool tab name" instead of blanking out the tab name.
I see that the default configuration accounts for the "Esc" keypress but that just submits the currently typed name.
Why?
Sometimes I have the wrong tab selected when renaming or just decide not to rename it in the end.
Workaround
I retype the tab or pane name.
