It would be useful for some use cases to have a credentialing system for external port 4711 connections to the server. One possibility is to use the MD5-based system that my RaspberryJamMod uses.

I have added a "hostname" option in pull request #71
With this option you can prevent remote access to the API by setting the hostname to "localhost" or "127.0.0.1".
