@AlexanderKapelyukhovskiy

Hello,

We are using videosdk-ui-toolkit-web for video chat on our website. During a recent demo, we encountered an issue where the page was reloading after 2-5 minutes in Safari with the message: "This webpage was reloaded because it was using significant memory."

When we switched to Chrome, the issue did not occur, and the chat worked as expected.

After updating to version 1.12.1-1, the situation improved significantly, but in Safari, the page still reloaded after approximately 12-15 minutes. This seems to indicate a possible memory leak.

Many of our customers use Safari, so asking them to switch to another browser is not an ideal solution. Could you please investigate this issue?

If you need any additional details, please let me know.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Hey @AlexanderKapelyukhovskiy , can you share the macOS version, device model, and Safari version?

Hi @tommygaessler,

Certainly! Here are the details of the MacBook and Safari environment:

MacBook Pro 14-inch (2023)

  • Chip: Apple M2 Pro
  • Memory: 16GB
  • macOS: Ventura 13.6

Safari

  • Version: 17.1 (18616.2.9.11.10, 18616)

I was also able to reproduce the same issue using the desktop version of Safari 18 on BrowserStack.

Thank you so much for your help! Please let me know if you need any further details.
