Is there a way to grab events from the keyboard?

Hi! I was looking through the cli reference and realized it only lists the commands you can send to the keyboard. I wanted to do something the other way round: grab keypresses from my voyager and do something with it (more specifically, trigger shell commands).

I was previously using Karabiner Elements and https://github.com/mxstbr/karabiner to trigger virtual keyboard layers from the MacBook's built-in keyboard, and for some reason, the karabiner triggers are not setting off from Voyager.

One of the major reasons I wanna do this is to be able to map keys from my Voyager to open certain urls or open an app via shell commands.
