Removing characters one by one with backspace then auto suggesting is not working

How can we reproduce this bug?

1. Step one:
For the textarea auto suggesting is working as expected [https://zurb.github.io/tribute/example/]

2. Step two:
But when i remove characters one by one with backspace then the auto suggesting is not working.I m expecting like this [https://zurb.com/playground/tribute]
