This is the first release of the xkcd image downloader. It is neither userfriendly nor very stable but it works.

Note xkcd_poster.jar needs a lot of RAM (at least 2.5 GB - will increase with the usage of more images - therefore will increase over time as more xkcd comics are released) therefore it is required to start using the parameter -Xmx<memory_amount>
