It would be nice for the unity project to run through CI/CD,

I investigated there as well. It requires either:

  • a dedicates, unity 3D license GameCI
  • a private Unity Cloud account and configuring the repo for it
  • apply for a free Unity Cloud account (provided the project is open source)

The main benefit would be automatic build for the supported target platforms.
