3. Fetch Robot Essentials

Read this first

Power Up and Joystick Control:

  1. Switch on the red button at the base of the robot
  2. Press the start button on button at the side of the base to turn on OS
  3. Wait for about a minute and then press and hold button 16 on the joystick until you feel a vibration.
  4. Disengage the hard run-stop button at the side of the robot by twisting it gently to the right till it lifts up
  5. Hold down dead man switch and button 6 for few seconds until the robot performs an arm-tuck
  6. Hold down the dead man switch and use joystick buttons 1 and 2 to rotate and translate respectively

Powering Down:

  1. Ensure that the robot is in the arm-tuck position
  2. Engage the hard run-stop button by pushing it down
  3. Press and hold the button the side of the robot (glowing white) for ~3seconds till it starts to blink
  4. Switch off red button at the base.
