A list of things to keep in mind while starting a course in A+, mostly organizational.
- course is available for selection in the plugin (currently hard-coded, should be changed #522?)
- update the visuals in A+ Courses home page and in other places (like README)
- installation guide in the course materials like this is added and up-to-date
- course materials' are tested for proper rendering in the plugin. this might require a teacher to tweak the course structure. more materials (ideally all) for the course are available for testing is better, as otherwise, you'll have to re-check each time the materials are published
- at least two members of the team are added to the course materials source code repository (version.aalto.fi, etc.)
all of the following are monitored for the first 2-3 weeks of the course for the general IntelliJ IDEA & A+ Courses plugin installation issues:
- at least two members of the team are added to the course discussion forum (Zulip, Piazza, etc.)
- at least two members of the team are added to the course IM channel (Telegram, Slack, etc.)
- at least two members of the team are added to the course TA's comm channel (Telegram, etc.)
- keep track of the following parameters, with the rate of the successful submissions of the first practical assignments being the most important (details on parameters):
data on the Programming Studio 2/A:
passed Exercise 1 (ch 14): 204 (82%)
successful MatchMaker: 183 (74%)
plugin downloads (cumulative): 237 (96%)
