Importing camera animations in Blender

  1. Import both character model and suitable animation like Ultra Combo.
  2. Import camera animation. Select "Make New Armature" during import.

    Don't forget to match UP-axis for both armatures. Rotate skeletons by 90 in "Rotation X".

  1. Select Camera and add "Child of" Object Constraint.

  2. Set Camera Location and Rotation to 0.
    For some reason in some animations camera is upside down. Change Rotation Mode to "XZY Euler", Rotation Z to 180.
    Don't forget to adjust Camera's Focal Length and Clip End.

  3. You need to animate Camera's Horizontal Rotation manually to match in-game animation, because this space is controlled by the game itself and not animated at all in animation files.
