Next navigation from last child to next parent

Hey,

I have this site structure in the doc tree:

Parent1
Child1a
Child1b
Parent2
Child2a
Child2b

If I am at Child1b, I would like to have a next link Parent2.
And if I am at a parent, the next link should be to the next child.
In short, I just want to give the user a pagination like in a book. Menuindex is set accordingly.

I tried different snippet calls, but can't manage to get it working like I need it. Is it possibly, and if, please tell me how. Otherwise I would suggest a parameter like "borderlessPagination" or similar.
