👩💻️ I’m a Northcoders Bootcamp Graduate

🌱 I’m also interested in rock climbing, brewing & fermenting and barista skills

💽️ I’m looking to join a great team, to build on my skills as a developer
-
☁️ I've been learning to provision all sorts of cloud architecture on AWS, and I'm now researching Azure and Google Cloud
-
🃏 I really enjoyed learning about Test-Driven Development, and I got far too excited about building test suites
-
💬 Other things you might ask me about:
- my previous career as an Attorney
- having two vicars for parents
- my work with Manchester Trans Liberation Assembly
- the brief period of time that I ran a village pub
I've just started playing Fallout 4 (again!)
I've just finished The Witcher 3 (took me long enough!)
I'm primarily indoor Bouldering, and I try to climb 3-4 times a week. I'm currently pushing myself to complete V5 grade climbs, having become more comfortable with V3 and V4 climbs
I'm currently enjoying the Kimchi that I made with some Wild Garlic and Three-Cornered Leek that I foraged on a walk along the Mersey, in Didsbury. The fermentation process took longer than expected, at 15 days.
Working my way through the Dimension 20 series - currently on Fantasy High: Sophomore Year
I spend my Mon-Fri, 9-5, working on my coding projects:
-
In order to learn python I have decided to try to make a playable CLI version of one of my favourite board games 'Machi Koro' - it's a WIP, here.
-
I am debugging, maintaining, and improving my Discord Bot project, which includes custom APIs, a Discord Bot, firestore database management, interactions with Google Forms API, and a React.js front-end.
I've also taken on the task of 'sprucing up' an existing website for a church - I am constrained by many restrictions (not least that I'm not allowed to change the host, nor move away from WordPress) but you can take a look at my handiwork here, and feel free to give me some pointers (I'm always keen to learn more frontend skills!)
I am always excited to learn new tech, and expand on the tech I know; if you've seen a gap in my skillset, or think there's a cool resource I should check out, please let me know!
