Maintaining and Updating Data

Access to Edit Data

• Create an account at github.com using your City email address
  • ODDT will grant users access to the PublicHealth team
• Visit prose.io and if prompted, log in using your Github account.
• Select the Community Health Explorer repository

You should see a list of files: these are CSVs of the data you populated in the Google Sheet

• Choose the .csv file you'd like to update
• To edit, click the pencil icon at right or double click in any cell
• When finished, click Save icon at right
• Your changes will be committed to the repository and the live application should reflect the updates within a few moments

You can use markdown within the prose editor to alter the appearance of the text, for example making something bold or inserting a hyperlink. See DaringFireball.net for more information and examples on using markdown.

Note: Data will be automatically versioned upon save. In the event of an editing error, ODDT is able to revert large scale edits.

Important: Edits made to text and data will be visible in production (live site) once saved - use with caution.
