A Foundry VTT initializator for the Boilerplate system!
- Copy the
startBoilerplate.py
to your repository - Run
python startBoilerplate.py true|false
- The argument passed is the Dry Run configuration.

, it will execute the process as a "Dry Run" not changing the files - If passed

, it will execute the process as a "Wet Run", changing files - If the argument is ommited, it wil execute the process as a "Wet Run", changing files

- Choose your system name
- The script will replace using the following pattern:
boilerplate
=> your system name in lower caseBOILERPLATE
=> your system name in upper caseBoilerplate
=> your system name capitalized
- The script will replace using the following pattern:
- Checks if the
system.json
file exists. If not download and extract the latest version of theboilerplate
system, and then deletes the zip file - Asks for the system name. Because it will replace in several places, including classes names, using special characters can cause issues.
- Renames all the files that have the
boilerplate
in the name - Changes all files' content using the patterns mentioned above
- Deletes this file
- ✨ Handles if the repository already contains README, LICENSE and CHANGELOG
