how to convert from UDP to HLS(m3u8)

I have searched and been unable to correctly configure my mistserver to convert from a UDP input to an HLS(m3u8) output.
I have gotten confused with the PULL and PUSH to the mistserver.
Can someone help me configure it?
I am willing to pay for advice

Hey Erik, We'd be happy to help, If it's a standard UDP input you're probably done once you got the right setup going. Could you share what kind of input you're trying to put into MistServer? Is the UDP a TS stream, a SRT stream, a RIST stream, a WebRTC stream? There's quite some possibilities after all! For HLS (m3u8) output, you can instantly access HLS output once the stream is received, if you also wish to record it you'll need to start a PUSH.
