When using spiceinit for OREx:
spiceinit from=file.cub web=yes attach gives me the following error message:
ERROR The Spice Server was unable to initialize the cube. The error reported was: No existing files found with a numerial version matching [kernels.????.db] in [/work1/work2/isis3/isis/../data/../datalocal/osirisrex/kernels/ck].

@beatricemueller As far as I know, ORex kernels are not publicly available for some image data. What file are you trying to use?

@beatricemueller Thanks for the info. Currently, these kernels are not available within ISIS. Therefore, we are not able to run spiceinit with them. The ocams2isis application is performing the ingestion, but not working with the spice data. Once you attempt spiceinit ISIS sees that the kernels are not available.

I wonder if @KrisBecker might have some additional insight about the current kernel availability for working with these data?

@beatricemueller I am going to close this issue as I have gotten an enhancement request #4060 opened to ask that these kernels be made available and this is not an issue with Spiceinit logic; it is a missing kernel problem.

Please reopen this issue in the future if you would like to continue to conversation over here.
