PUBLICATIONS

The Kraken 2 paper has been published in Genome Biology as of November 28th, 2019:Improved metagenomic analysis with Kraken 2 (2019).

The original Kraken paper was published in Genome Biology in 2014: Kraken: ultrafast metagenomic sequence classification using exact alignments.

DOWNLOADS

As of September 2020, we are providing pre-built Kraken 2/Bracken databases for commonly used Kraken 2 databases. For all available downloads, please refer to https://benlangmead.github.io/aws-indexes/k2.

Some older pre-built Kraken databases remain on the JHU CCB FTP Site. However, for up-to-date databases, please use the new AWS download link above.
